Hi there! Thank you for visiting the website. So what is Project Kuzuri all about? Heck, what does Kuzuri even mean?
Long story short, Kuzuri is the name of the wolverine animal in Japanese. Why is that even relevant? Feel free to click on the Wolverine link to find out more — but before you do, learn about my story first…
The Early Years
Like many of you, I grew up with an insatiable passion for cars — from Formula 1 and the incredible JDM vehicles of the 80s and 90s to the absolute classic muscle cars of the 60s and 70s and everything in between. Games like Gran Turismo and automotive media fuelled my knowledge, and soon enough I knew that one day I would own a car that would take me right into the car culture scene.
Career
Not long after I purchased my pride and joy Toyota GT86 Giallo Edition, I qualified as a secondary school science teacher — and it did not take long for my car to be the talk of the school playground with its not-so-discreet colour and sharp styling. I grew a reputation amongst students and parents as a teacher who made science fun and exciting and always gave up his time for those who needed it. Inspiring my students as a role model is my driving emotion.
Ikigai — Purpose
I grew up in a challenging environment, and I am truly thankful for all that my parents did during my childhood to ensure that I developed a strong moral compass and a philanthropic heart. Being charitable was not enough — I wanted to inspire others into giving back to the community, to support all the amazing charities that do so much to uplift those in our country who are not as fortunate as we are, and to do so through the lens of fast, exciting cars.
With Wolverine as the name of my car (spoilers!), Project Kuzuri was born. A new and exciting take on automotive lifestyle that harnesses all the energy, excitement and high-octane adrenaline of the vibrant UK car culture and combines it with the positive, wholesome appeal of charity — creating a dynamic platform where charities can be promoted, where people know their purchases will not only make them stand out but will also support our chosen charities, and hopefully we can continue Driving Awareness One Mile at a Time.
